Thanks for supporting the Unaffiliated Creatives podcast! I’m your host KAeveryday… In Episode 88, I get a chance to talk about Travis Hunter and all of the red flags he's choosing to ignore in dealing with his current relationship. 

It’s been a week of celebration for Travis Hunter, star cornerback and wide receiver for the Colorado Buffaloes, but now social media is shifting its attention to his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, as two separate incidents have created widespread debate across the internet.

 During a recent fan event, Hunter was seen taking photos with supporters, including female fans, which drew an apparently annoyed reaction from Lenee. In a now-viral video, she can be heard saying, “What do you want me to do…I just sit here then” as Hunter greeted fans.

Adding fuel to the fire, footage from Hunter’s historic Heisman Trophy win shows Coach Deion Sanders encouraging Lenee to stand and applaud Hunter. Critics quickly labeled her reaction as “disinterested,” which sparked backlash across social media platforms.

 Hunter and Lenee have known each other since their days at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. Despite initially ignoring his Instagram direct messages because “he wasn’t my type,” Lenee eventually developed a deep connection with Hunter. In a TikTok Q&A session, she revealed that she initially dismissed him as “just another athlete.”

 However, Lenee credits Hunter with transforming her life at a critical moment. “I would always pray that God would give me a reason to keep moving forward. And you were His answer,” she said in an emotional video.

 While many fans have supported the couple’s journey, others have called for Hunter to reconsider their engagement. Critics argue that Lenee’s reactions during his big moments suggest a lack of support, while others believe her emotions have been unfairly scrutinized due to the pressure of their public lives.

The wedding question has divided fans as Hunter basks in the glory of his Heisman win and prepares for a possible NFL career. For now, the couple seems set on navigating their future together under the intense microscope that comes with fame.
